Reviews of Holiday Inn New Orleans-Downtown Superdome, An Ihg Hotel

Staying just steps away from the Superdome was a major highlight of our trip, and the view from our room was incredible! While we enjoyed lounging by the outdoor pool, it was a bit of a hassle figuring out parking fees since the details weren't clearly communicated. Just a heads up : make sure to ask about parking costs to avoid surprises! 😊

Roy
It is an ideal property located in Downtown New Orleans district near banks, and concerts. The venue is placed in a central position to downtown attractions.

Impressive and brand-new rooms with a modern decor.
Its breakfast certainly could be included.
-
Frederick
Great location and friendly staff. Wi-Fi was spotty at times.

Robert
Fairly clean hotel, extremely friendly and amiable team members at the reception desk. Well laid out and reasonably large rooms with very comfortable new beds available. Easy location, short walk from Royal Street. Only 15 minutes walking to the city centre.
The breakfast should 've been included.

The room was clean and surprisingly spacious. I appreciated the larger toiletries, which felt more generous than typical hotel offerings. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. the air conditioning was inconsistent, affecting the overall comfort level. I enjoyed the pleasant smell in the room, free of mustiness. Noise levels were manageable, though some sounds from the hallway could be heard at times. A minor drawback was the lack of cable for the first night. Small issues like the fridge freezing items and the varying quality of customer service detracted from the experience.

Arrival from the L.Armstrong airport - much shorter tjhan recommended by Booking - only by bus E2 with 5 min walk to the hotel - this was the most pleasant surprise
Breakfast (buffet) - very expensive and not tasty, especially the ham - overfried

Location is everything. Conveniently situated near attractions, the lobby greeted me with friendly staff. They were welcoming and eager to assist—props to Sarah, Charlene, and Eboni. The free breakfast is a bonus; satisfactory options, though the restaurant’s offerings felt limited. That said, the room didn’t match the online allure. A drab atmosphere lingered due to poor lighting. Water pressure? Lamentable. I encountered issues with my reservation and bags being rifled through, which was unsettling. This hotel has potential but needs revival. Disappointment and satisfaction coexisted, leaving me hesitant about a return visit.

Breakfast included in the hotel was a great deal.
The air conditioner/heater was so loud I could barely sleep. The elevators took a long time.

We were in town for a football game, so the location couldn't have been better. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Given that I don't typically enjoy buffet dining, the breakfast buffet was a pleasant suprise.
I was a little put off by being charged $27 a day for parking. Downtown New Orleans streets are, to put it mildly, torn to shreds and access to the hotel was difficult. Shuttles were not running and getting a taxi was considerably more difficult than it should have been. The hotel, of course, has no control over this but I felt like the attitude was "You're on your own. Figure it out." We did and we survived just fine, it just could have been made easier if some degree of concern and/or helpful suggestions had been offered.

The staff was great, really went out of their way to help, especially the front desk and bartenders. The location was awesome, close to everything, and had spacious and comfy rooms. Ice machine was conveniently nearby, loved that!
Room was dirty upon arrival, ignored it due to late check, in after a long journey. Footprints on walls, spills on doors, poorly vacuumed floors.

The cleanliness of the room. The ease of checking in and out. Bed was comfortable.
We could hear the people in the shower above us. The elevator was not air conditioned. Cigarette butts covered the balcony. No continental breakfast like in most Holiday Inns.

Great staff and location, but maintenance needed
The hotel's location was ideal, with easy access to the French Quarter. several amenities like the ice machine and balconies were disappointing, and the common areas could use some updates.

The personnel always stopped the elevator! The price to high for that what you get!
